SPOTSYLVANIA COUNTY

Mount Olive Baptist Church, in Partlow, will celebrate its 144th Annual Homecoming Service tomorrow. Pastor Williams will preach the 11 a.m. service, and the Rev. Charles Wormley, pastor of Mount Zion Baptist Church and his congregation will be guests. Revival services will run Tuesday through Thursday, at 7:30 p.m., On Tuesday, the Rev. Carson Jackson, pastor of Little Mine Road Baptist Church in Spotsylvania will be guest speaker. On Wednesday, the Rev. Kenneth Davis, pastor of St. Luke Baptist Church in Caroline County will be guest speaker. On Friday, the Rev. Craig Beasley, pastor of Ebenezer Baptist Church in Chilesburg will be guest.

First Baptist Church of Love, 124 Bend Farm Road, will hold a "Fellowship on the Blacktop" three-on-three basketball tournament today at 9 a.m. for ages 7-18. Church of the Messiah, Episcopal, 12201 Spotswood Furnace Lane, will hold a special "Senior Saints" Celebration tomorrow after the 10:30 a.m. service to recognize those individuals in the church who are 80 years old or older and have served and continue to serve the church in various ministries. Piney Branch Baptist Church will observe Homecoming tomorrow at 11:30 a.m., with the Rev. Dwight B. Micheal delivering the morning message, with a fellowship luncheon to follow. KING GEORGE

CULPEPER

A Youth choir Workshop will be held at Mount Olive Baptist Church, in Culpeper on Tuesday, at 7 p.m. The choir will be preparing for Youth Day at the Wayland Blue Ridge Baptist Center, 15044 Ryland Chapel Road in Rixeyville, on Aug. 10 at 10 a.m. The theme of Youth Day is: "Back to School: Doing My Best for Christ." 540/399-9815.

Christian Outreach Community Center, 5340 Tidewater Trail in Loretto, will host the Summer Slam 2010 Basketball Tournament Aug. 6-8. Teams of five to 12 players may register to compete.
