Daisy Elizabeth Butt Jenkins, 85, of Rhoadesville passed away on Thursday, July 29, 2010.
She was a member of Salem United Methodist Church, Rhoadesville, and a former member of the Mine Run Volunteer Co. ladies' auxiliary.
Daisy was known for helping anyone in time of need.
Her husband, Bernard E. Jenkins, preceded her in death.
She is survived by two sons, Bernard Erven Jenkins and his wife, Sallie, of Rhoadesville, and Michael Eugene Jenkins and his wife, Deborah, of Unionville; stepmother Elsie Allnutt of Braddock Heights, Md.; a brother, Lee Butt, of Braddock Heights; and three sisters, Eleanora Caudill of Braddock Heights, Henrietta Bradley of Lottsburg and Shirley Butt of New York.
Survivors also include three grandchildren, Jennifer M. Clarke, Justin Jenkins, and Michael B. Jenkins; and three great-grandchildren, Bryce, Kelsey, and Desiree Clarke.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Aug. 2, at Bethlehem United Methodist Church, in Unionville, with the Rev. Jeffrey Smith and the Rev. Nancy Stanton McDaniel officiating. A reception will follow in the church.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Salem United Methodist Church or Rhoadesville Baptist Church.
