FROM STAFF REPORTS Sean Walker scored three times in the fourth quarter to break open a tie game and give homestanding North Stafford a season-opening 27-7 win over Halifax County last night. Marcus Morrast led all rushers with 106 yards on nine carries for the Wolverines (1-0), who finished with 288 yards on 42 carries. Kevin Daniels opened the scoring for North Stafford, which visits Gar-Field next Friday.

Mountain View 37, Freedom 21 Bubby Morgan threw four touchdown passes as the Wildcats won a nondistrict road game to improve to Anthony Johnson caught three of Morgan's scoring passes, covering 5, 34 and 16 yards. Aaron Williams had the other. Morgan finished 10-for-19 for 192 yards. The Wildcats visit Osbourn next Friday.
