Alma H. Hynson

Alma Headley Hynson, 94, of Warsaw passed away Saturday, Sept. 4, 2010, at Heritage Hall Nursing Home. She was a member of Victory Baptist Church and a charter member of the VFW Auxiliary Post 7167.

She was the widow of W. Edward Hynson, and was preceded in death by seven brothers, two sisters and her son-in-law, Clarence E. Smith. She is survived by her daughter, Gloria H. Smith of King George County; two granddaughters, Cindy Chalkley and her husband, Chris, of King George, and Cathy Snyder and her husband, Roy, of Harrisonburg; three great-grandchildren, Claire Chalkley, Ella Chalkley and Collin Snyder; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 8, at Victory Baptist Church, Warsaw, with burial in Cobham Park Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends after 1 p.m. at the church.
