FROM STAFF REPORTS Spotsylvania's Logan Wolfe scored an overtime goal against Battlefield District opponents Courtland to put the Knights ahead of the Cougars, 3-2. Kelsey Link assisted on the goal. Link would finish the game with a goal and two assists. For Courtland, Emily Zaluzney had a goal and an assist. Maggie Skinner scored Courtland's other goal. Spotsylvania (3-0, 2-0) visits King George on Monday. Courtland (0-3, 0-2) visits Chancellor on Friday.
FIELD HOCKEY ORANGE 4, KETTLE RUN 0 Rachael Gardner had two goals and an assist to lead the host Hornets to a nondistrict victory over the Cougars. Anna Bosworth and Carrie Jacobs also scored and Sarah Edmondson had three saves in goal for Orange (2-1), which travels to Liberty tomorrow. RIVERBEND 3, MASSAPONAX 0 Shelby Denn, Olivia Nicotera and Jordan Riddick each had one goal as Riverbend picked up its first Commonwealth District win against homestanding Massaponax. The Bears (3-2, 1-2) host Brooke Point tomorrow. COLONIAL FORGE 2, Maria Lane and Marissa McCormick scored unanswered goals as the Eagles earned the Commonwealth District victory over the host Black-Hawks. Kathleen Namey had both assists for Colonial Forge. Maddie Davis had 11 saves in goal for Brooke Point (2-3, 1-2), which travels to Riverbend tomorrow for a 6 p.m. contest. Colonial Forge (5-0, 3-0) hosts North Stafford tomorrow at 4:30. STAFFORD 5, A goal glut from Stafford helped the Indians keep their unblemished record intact with a win over North Stafford. Alex Alford scored two goals and added an assist and Taylor Bailey had a goal and two assists. Kathleen Gayle and Erin Gallivan had one goal apiece. Stafford (5-0) hosts Mountain View tomorrow. Mountain View 5, Albemarle 0 Mountain View's Bailee Hubert had two goals as Mountain View beat Commonwealth District foes Albemarle. Mountain View (4-1, 3-0) visits Stafford tomorrow. FREDERICKSBURG ACADEMY 3, Allegra Massey-Elim, Colleen Hughes and Meghan Norair all had one goal as Fredericksburg Academy beat the Potomac School.
