Spotsylvania's Logan Wolfe scored an overtime goal against Battlefield District opponents Courtland to put the Knights ahead of the Cougars, 3-2.
Kelsey Link assisted on the goal. Link would finish the game with a goal and two assists.
For Courtland, Emily Zaluzney had a goal and an assist. Maggie Skinner scored Courtland's other goal.
Spotsylvania (3-0, 2-0) visits King George on Monday. Courtland (0-3, 0-2) visits Chancellor on Friday.
FIELD HOCKEY
ORANGE 4, KETTLE RUN 0
Rachael Gardner had two goals and an assist to lead the host Hornets to a nondistrict victory over the Cougars.
Anna Bosworth and Carrie Jacobs also scored and Sarah Edmondson had three saves in goal for Orange (2-1), which travels to Liberty tomorrow.
RIVERBEND 3, MASSAPONAX 0
Shelby Denn, Olivia Nicotera and Jordan Riddick each had one goal as Riverbend picked up its first Commonwealth District win against homestanding Massaponax.
The Bears (3-2, 1-2) host Brooke Point tomorrow.
COLONIAL FORGE 2,
Maria Lane and Marissa McCormick scored unanswered goals as the Eagles earned the Commonwealth District victory over the host Black-Hawks.
Kathleen Namey had both assists for Colonial Forge.
Maddie Davis had 11 saves in goal for Brooke Point (2-3, 1-2), which travels to Riverbend tomorrow for a 6 p.m. contest.
Colonial Forge (5-0, 3-0) hosts North Stafford tomorrow at 4:30.
STAFFORD 5,
A goal glut from Stafford helped the Indians keep their unblemished record intact with a win over North Stafford.
Alex Alford scored two goals and added an assist and Taylor Bailey had a goal and two assists. Kathleen Gayle and Erin Gallivan had one goal apiece.
Stafford (5-0) hosts Mountain View tomorrow.
Mountain View 5, Albemarle 0
Mountain View's Bailee Hubert had two goals as Mountain View beat Commonwealth District foes Albemarle.
Mountain View (4-1, 3-0) visits Stafford tomorrow.
FREDERICKSBURG ACADEMY 3,
Allegra Massey-Elim, Colleen Hughes and Meghan Norair all had one goal as Fredericksburg Academy beat the Potomac School.
Maya Brown and Paige McDermott teamed up on defense to allow the Potomac School only one shot on goal.
Fredericksburg Academy (1-0) hosts Covenant on Friday.

COLONIAL FORGE 3,
Colonial Forge picked up a win in straight games against Commonwealth District opponent Brooke Point 25-17, 25-10, 25-18.
Gabby Myers had 20 assists, Brooke Kelley had 11 kills and Ashleigh Glassie had six kills for the Eagles (6-1, 2-0), who host North Stafford tomorrow.
Valeria Giberti had 18 digs and two aces and Nadia Peters had three kills and two blocks for Brooke Point (2-2, 1-1), which hosts Riverbend on Thursday.
NORTH STAFFORD 3, STAFFORD 0
Kendall Jones had 21 assists and five digs to help North Stafford beat Stafford in a Commonwealth District game 25-13, 25-13, 25-19.
Katrina Houston had eight kills and four digs and Brooke Bochonok had six kills.
North Stafford (5-1, 3-1) will visit Colonial Forge tomorrow.
Katelyn Gudyka paced Stafford (2-5, 0-2) with six kills and Gina Snow had seven digs. Stafford plays at Hylton today.
ALBEMARLE 3,
Erin Clancy had 12 kills and 11 digs for Mountain View, but visiting Albemarle hung on for a 25-19, 23-25, 25-18, 25-27, 15-9 Commonwealth District win last night.
Anna Weisband had 28 assists and five aces, and Alex Hartman provided 22 digs and five aces for the Wildcats (4-4, 0-2), who visit Stafford tomorrow.
GOLF
RIVERBEND 178, MASSAPONAX 210
Riverbend senior Karl Munsee nearly hit 39 for the second game in a row, but he missed a 15-foot put and would have to settle for a match-best 40 as Riverbend bested Massaponax.
Eric Ciccone hit 45, Cody Hazard hit 46 and Adel Hasan hit 47 to round out Riverbend's top four. Massaponax's Timmy Pohanka hit a team-best 49.
Riverbend (4-1) will play Brooke Point tomorrow.
KING GEORGE 187,
King George's Amy Southall hit a round-best 43 to help King George stay perfect in the Battlefield District against Caroline.
Rounding out King George's total were Alex Byant with a 44, David Campbell with a 49 and Donovan Thoren with a 51.
Corey James hit a 51, which was Caroline's low score.
King George (5-2, 2-0) will play Thursday against Spotsylvania.
BOYS SOCCER
FCS 2, TRINITY EPISCOPAL 0
Jake Mills set up both goals with assists as the host Eagles defeated Trinity Episcopal in a nondistrict match.
David Schools and Chase Bess scored the goals off Mills' passes while goaltender Shelby Streeter earned his third shutout of the year with five saves.
Fredericksburg Christian (4-0) hosts Fredericksburg Academy at 4:30 p.m. Friday.
