HH "BLACK SWAN" (R) This tale of a quest for perfection that flirts with madness is set in the world of a prima ballerina facing a challenge from a beautiful young upstart. Natalie Portman, as the challenged dancer, makes us care--and makes the at-times surrealistic action feel scarily real. Rated R for strong sexual content, disturbing violent images, language and some drug use. 108 min. [MV] HH "THE CHRONICLES OF NARNIA: THE VOYAGE HH "DUE DATE" (R) With the excellent Robert Downey Jr. and the hilarious Zach Galifianakis in the cast, this should have been a hoot. But it's so leaden that things never take off. Rated R for language, drug use and sexual content. 100 min. [RF] HHH "THE FIGHTER" (R) The film itself is a winner and Mark Wahlberg is solid as struggling boxer "Irish" Micky Ward, though Christian Bale steals the spotlight as the s the crack-addicted brother/boxer/trainer. Melissa Leo and Amy Adams are good as Ward's controlling mom and the girlfriend who brings him some stability. Rated R for language, drug content, violence and sexuality. 114 min. [MC, RA, RF] HHH "HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS: PART 1" (PG-13) Things aren't going so well for Harry Potter and his side as this film kicks off, with Lord Voldemort consolidating his hold on the magical world. Harry, Ron and Hermione are at the core of the fight. Rated PG-13 for sequences of intense action violence, frightening images, brief sensuality. 147 min. [MV, RA] H "HOW DO YOU KNOW" (PG-13) This supposedly light love story featuring Paul Rudd and Reese Witherspoon is such a dud, the characters so leaden and unappealing, that it's no wonder there's nothing resembling chemistry. Rated PG-13 for sexual content and some strong language. 116 min. [MC, RA, RF]
