'Stupid Party' candidates, save Ron Paul, beat war drums
Thirty years ago, I took a date out to see The Flying Karamazov Brothers' juggling act, and their tour bus sported a bumper sticker that read, "Reagan for Shah." At the time, I was not amused, but the times have changed. Today, as I yawn through the Stupid Party candidates' debates, I realize that exception for Ron Paul, they are running against Obama--not for president, but rather for emperor. Even stranger than that, I'm reminded that a mere 50 years ago we looked for a communist under every bed, but now we need look no further than a dictatorial puppet at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. Obama was trained by Saul Alinsky to be a practitioner of Antonio Gramsci's thin-sliced baloney, and voters fell for his Teleprompter readings hook, line, and sinker. Sometimes I truly believe that we Americans choose the stupidest candidate, or the one with the best hair. To a man, Newt Gingrich, Rick Santorum, Mitt Romney, and the thankfully done-for Rick Perry shriek that we need to nuke Iran, or to kill everybody who threatens our way of life. Rep. Paul is the lone voice stating that our Constitution makes no provision for such globalist mischief. Oh, well, the Constitution was apparently wadded up into a ball and tossed into the dustbin of history alongside Soviet socialism. Think about it, folks; we have trained killers operating under orders from the so-called Department of Defense stationed in every crud-crusted corner of the globe spreading "democracy," whatever that means. So, this March, the Virginia primary will offer voters a choice between global imperialism or limited constitutional republican government. For me it's a no-brainer--Ron Paul--and loyalty oaths be damned. But this November we'll be presented with Steve Miroy Stafford
