Virginia B. Sheeks died Thursday, Feb. 9, 2012, at her Ashby Ponds home in Ashburn.

She was the wife of the late Paul Sheeks; loving and devoted mother of Barbara Holland of Sterling; and sister of Ruth Bullock of Naples, Fla. She is also survived by six grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grand-daughter.

She was actively involved in the garden club and bridge club of Aquia Harbour. She spent her last three years at Ashby Ponds, where she also played bridge and other card games. She will be greatly missed by family and friends because she was always there.

The family will receive friends on Friday, Feb. 17, from 10 a.m. until a service to begin at 11 a.m. at Adams-Green Funeral Home, 721 Elden St., Herndon. Interment will be private.
