TRAVEL ALERTS

Interstate 95

(Update) Sunday-Thursday, 9 p.m.-4 a.m.; crews will be patrolling I-95 southbound between Exit 156 (Dale City) in Prince William County and Exit 96 (Route 30) in Caroline County for potholes. This is a mobile operation. One lane will be closed to traffic when repairs are needed.

SPOTSYLVANIA COUNTY

Interstate 95

(Update) Monday-Thursday, 8 a.m.-4 p.m.; crews will be installing guardrail on I-95 southbound between Exit 126 (U.S. 1/Spotsylvania) and Exit 118 (State Route 606/Thornburg). One lane will be closed in the work zone.

(New) Wednesday, 9 p.m.-3 a.m.; motorists will be restricted to one lane on I-95 northbound just south of Exit 118 (State Route 606/Thornburg). Crews will be repairing the overhead sign structure. Expect delays.

(New) Thursday, 9 p.m.-3 a.m.; motorists will be restricted to one lane on I-95 southbound just north of Exit 126 (U.S. 1/Spotsylvania). Crews will be repairing the overhead sign structure. Expect delays.

Mine Road Convenience Center Entrance

(New) Wednesday, 8 a.m.-6 p.m.; the entrance to the Mine Road Convenience Center located off of Mine Road will be closed to traffic. Spotsylvania County crews will be relocating a waterline in connection with the Mine Road/Lansdowne Road Intersection Improvement Project.

Mine Road/Lansdowne Road

Monday-Friday, daylight-dusk; motorists are reminded to be alert to construction crews and equipment in the vicinity of the Mine Road/Lansdowne Road intersection. Spotsylvania County has begun work on the intersection improvement project. Be alert to traffic pattern changes during daylight hours.

STAFFORD COUNTY

Mine Road

(New) Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-3 p.m.; work is under way on the Mine Road Turn Lane Project. Motorists should be alert to construction activity and expect periodic delays and lane closures on Mine Road near the State Route 610 intersection. The project is expected to be completed by July 2012.

KING GEORGE COUNTY

U.S. 301

(New) Monday-Friday, daylight-dsuk; motorists should expect delays on U.S. 301 in the vicinity of the Naval Support Facility at Dahlgren. The base will be conducting a military exercise that may create delays at the entrance to the facility. Significant delays are expected on Thursday and Friday. Other primary routes near the facility may be impacted by this exercise.
