Frederick Daniel "Dan" Rosser, 71, of Stafford County, beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away Friday, May 4, 2012.
Born June 10, 1940, in Marlboro, S.C., Dan had a distinguished career in the U.S. Army. After retiring as a chief warrant officer two on June 1, 1982, Dan continued to serve his country as a civil servant for the U.S. Army until retiring again in 1993.
Survivors include his wife, Dawn Jankowski; daughter and son-in-law Sandy and Kurt Gibbs; and two precious grandchildren, Danny and Katie Gibbs. Dan was also blessed with many friends and colleagues, and he will be missed.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 10, at Mullins & Thompson Funeral Service, Stafford Chapel, 186 Shelton Shop Road. A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 11. Interment will be at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are welcome at the Fredericksburg SPCA or the American Heart Association.
