Give foster children a helping hand

My class at Grafton Village Elementary School has been doing service-learning projects. While doing these projects, we have learned how to be responsible citizens and how to help others in our community.

My group decided to help the foster children in our community. All children deserve a safe, stable home and the chance of a bright future.

We hope readers will join us in helping foster children by donating things like gift cards, gift wrap, picture frames, or gift bags. You could even bring a child into your own home!

Remember, boys and girls of all ages are going into foster homes every day. Contact Fredericksburg's department of social services for more information. The children would greatly appreciate it.
