My fifth-grade class is learning about the importance of helping others, and my group chose to help the children at the Thurman Brisben Center, a homeless shelter in Fredericksburg.

We chose this center because every child deserves food, clothes, and shelter.

The Thurman Brisben Center will not stop helping until there is no more homelessness, hunger, or poverty in the world.

We hope everyone will help by donating pantry items, toiletries, or paper products to the center. Another way you can help is by helping maintain the grounds.
