Helping is contagious

We are learning about the importance of philanthropy and service-learning, and we have chosen to help the Lloyd Moss Free clinic. This is a nonprofit organization that helps people who can't finance their medical needs.

Dr. Lloyd F. Moss, the clinic's namesake, won the Wyeth-Ayerst Physician Award for community service. Dr. Moss realized how fortunate he was, so he thought about people who may not be as fortunate. He opened this free clinic to help meet this community need.

We hope that readers, in the spirit of Dr. Moss, will help the clinic by donating items such as sticky notes, gauze, or facial tissues. You can also help by donating your time as medical professionals or clinicians. Even high school and college students can donate their time and be extra helping hands around the clinic.

Remember, helping is contagious!
