Keneta T. "Kitty" Payne, 61, of Falmouth died Thursday, May 17, 2012, at Kindred Hospital in Richmond.

Mrs. Payne was a member of Falmouth Baptist Church. She loved cats and crafts. Mrs. Payne was kind, personable and very thoughtful of others. She thoroughly enjoyed and was engaged with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband of 41 years, Michael T. Payne; two children, Michael Shawn Payne and his wife, Syndee, and Katie Payne Bowman and her husband, Scott; siblings Rhonda Denson, Ressa Schindel, Skip Jennings, Cathy Vallejo, Jenny Turner, Patrick Turner, Debra Miller and Linda Parkins; five grandchildren, Madison, Ilana, Michaela, Alexis and Andon; and many other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 23, at Fairview at River Club. Interment will be private.
