Windmore offering beginner art classes

The Windmore Foundation will offer beginner "Art in the Park" classes from 6 to 8 p.m. each Wednesday starting next week and running through June 27. The classes will be held at the Art Center, 209 N. Commerce St., in Culpeper.

The art classes are open to adults ages 16 and up. The sessions will include beginning drawing techniques, shading and how to draw using pencil, charcoal and ink.

The only art supply each attendant will need is a 20-sheet, 8- by 10-inch drawing pad (90-pound weight).

The price is $100 for all four weeks for members and $125 for all four weeks for non-members. The class must have at least five students to be offered.

Pre-registration is required. Kathleen Willingham will be the instructor.
