Joseph Charles Shriver, 72, of Fredericksburg died Saturday, May 26, 2012, at Mary Washington Hospital.
He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Effie Shriver; his children, Brenda Jo Holland and Robert Gary Shriver and his wife, Carmen; his grandchildren, Danielle Shriver, Rikki Holland and Cody Holland; his great-grandchildren, Gauge, Brenden and Kyleigh; and stepgrandson Jason Nunez.
A service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 31, at Grace United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Grace United Methodist Church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 30, at Covenant Funeral Service, Stafford.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his name may be made to Grace United Methodist Church Building Fund or Pastor's Fund, 13056 Elk Ridge Road, Hartwood, Va. 22406.
