Howard Franklin "Blue" Harvey, 81, departed this life Tuesday, May 29, 2012, at his residence in St. Stephens Church.

He is survived by five daughters, Gladys Hickman (and Wilbur) of King and Queen Court House, Deloris Young (and Harlan) and Maria Byrd (and James) of Tappahannock, Brenda Gray (and Alfred) of Champlain, Annette Pollard (and Sylvester) of Dunnsville; six sons, William Harvey, Walter Harvey (and Diane), Robert Harvey (and Joy) and Luther Harvey (and Tuajuana), all of St. Stephens Church, Charles Harvey of King William and Henry Harvey of Tappahannock; two sisters, Rosa Newbill of St. Stephens Church and Annie Thompson (and John) of Richmond; and two brothers, Charlie Harvey (and Susie) and John Harvey (and Mary) of St. Stephens Church.

Visitation will be held from 1 to 7 p.m. Friday, June 1, at Washington Funeral Home, 1404 Tappahannock Blvd., Tappahannock. The funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, June 2, at First Mount Olive Baptist Church, Newtown, with Drucilla Tate officiating and the Rev. Robert D. Brown as eulogist. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
