A PASSAGE TO INDIA: The Fredericksburg Academy of Ballet presents its spring performance of 'La Bayadere (the Temple Dancer)' on Saturday, June 16, at 7 p.m. at James Monroe High School. This beautiful story of love, betrayal and intrigue will be making its Fredericksburg debut. Follow the love story between Nikiya and Solor as you embark on a journey through 19th-century India. The academy dancers will perform original choreography including the 'Kingdom of the Shades,' one of the ballet world's most-famous corps de ballet pieces.
