Falmouth Elementary

The following students earned the top Accelerated Reader points in their class for the fourth nine-week marking period:

Kindergarten--Jordyn Weber, Sabeeha Ijaz, Davon Wallace

First grade--Samantha Hall, Mridula Manikandan, Robert Calvert

Second grade--Colin Hepler, Adriana Keesecker, Norah Sutton, Makaila Childs, Gianni Morgan

Third grade--Christian Rojas, Owen King, Hayden Kendall, Abigail Rhodes, Mahalia Carter

Fourth grade--Ameer Abdel-Muhsin, Susan Webb, Gianna Brienza, Madison Dalton, Julian Don Juan

Fifth grade--Jillian McDonald, Madeline Eberhardt, Sannai James, Alexis Russell.

The following students are the top 10 Accelerated Readers for grades kindergarten through second: Norah Sutton, Robert Calvert, Mridula Manikandan, Asad Hussain, Roodyannh Labaze, Gabriel Davie, Bri'an Fitzpatrick, Malcolm Peterson, Searcy James, Amanda Doherty and Kyle Ballew.

The following students are the top 10 Accelerated Readers for grades three through five: Susan Webb, Julian Don Juan, Madeline Eberhardt, Taylor Givens, Katherine Calvert, Sannai James, Justin Helper, AlexisRussell, Gianna Brienza and Sriram Darbha.

Students earned 6,085 points for the year.

Garrisonville Elementary

The following classes read the most minutes for the month of May:

Rafat Boock, preschool, 1,610 minutes

Joanne King, kindergarten, 14,905 minutes

Andrea Castelli, first grade, 19,999 minutes

Diane Dodge, second grade, 12,284 minutes

Mary Hiles, third grade, 14,174 minutes

Beth Davenport, fourth grade, 34,241 minutes

Mary Baker, fifth grade, 13,352 minutes.

Kindergarteners in Joanne King's class raised $28.10 from a "Banking on Good Behavior" project. They voted to donate the money to the Save the Children organization to buy medicine for sick children.

Rockhill Elementary

The following fifth-graders earned the Presidential Award for Academic Excellence signed by President Obama: Marcus Boyd, Emilie Brandt-Hare, Rachel Delgado, Nyah Graham, Aidan Hughes, Zachariah Kaatz, Andrew Knutson, Rattanaphol Kokphae, Aiyanna Lee, Sebastian Lungocia, Catherine McHugh, Jacob Mockabee, Ashley Nghiem, Megan Pedigo, Mackenzie Phillips, Sarah Reid, Vincent Rousseau, Seyatta Schillace, Megan Schlather, Anthony Solorzano, Jorge Vargas, Andrew Wheelin and Shiari Wilcher.

Cody Black, Kelsey Gregory, Riley Limber, Sironsi Ntaanzi, and Avalee Taylor are recent Artists of the Week, chosen by school art teacher Nicole Brooks. Their art work is displayed in the front lobby of the school and they receive a certificate.
