Mary Lou Berry, 76, of Spotsylvania County was called home to be with the Lord while resting in the arms of her devoted husband on Monday, June 18, 2012.

Mary Lou was born Jan. 7, 1936, to the late Carl and Geraldine Keyser of Johnstown, Ohio.

She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Kenneth Louis Berry Sr; son Kenneth Louis Berry Jr.; daughters Marie Louisa Berry and Pamela Cecille Grimm; brother George Keyser of Columbus, Ohio; sister Sally Kissel of Mansfield, Ohio; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her son Hezikiah Berry; brother Carl "Junior" Keyser; and grandson Gregory "Howie" Lawrence.

Mary Lou was a member of Open Door Baptist Church and served faithfully until her health confined her to her home. She was deeply passionate concerning her faith and counted it a joy to share God's love with all. Mary Lou was loved by many and her gentle spirit will be sorely missed.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 21, at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg.

A celebration of Mary Lou's life will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, June 22, at Open Door Baptist Church, with Pastor R. Robert Hall officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
