'Make Way ' takes place in Boston
It was delightful to read about the Central Park "goose school" mentioned in the opinion pages on June 10 ["Central Park geese tug at heartstrings"]. What a nice perspective on animals we usually view as a nuisance!
However, the author of that letter was in error in her description of Robert McCloskey's classic children's tale "Make Way for Ducklings."
That book does not detail the famous daily trek of the Peabody Hotel ducks, but rather the difficulties a mallard family has on the streets of Boston before finding a safe home in the public gardens.
