Young people, stop using the profanity!

This is regarding the story about the New York students who abused their bus monitor, an action that was captured on a video that went viral ["Bullying of teachers more damaging in online era," June 24].

In this incident, four middle school boys used a lot of profanity.

As a high schooler, I found the profanity used to insult her terrible and awful. No one should be spoken to like that; it was especially disrespectful.

It is sad to see the people of my generation using profanity freely. It is sad to see it being accepted by society as if it were everyday language.

The words used in this video would have had extreme consequences 20 or 30 years ago. Today, it is used as common, everyday language. But this kind of profanity is offensive to people in society and shouldn't be used as everyday language.
