Janet Irene Fillers, 76, of Stafford County passed away Tuesday, July 3, 2012, at her residence.
She is survived by her four daughters, Joan Wascak (Rick) of Manassas, Judith Lutz of Ruther Glen, Jill Brinza (Michael) of Stafford and Charleen O'Toole of Tallahassee, Fla.; a sister, Edith Roberts of Ridgeway, Pa.; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Janet retired in 1998 after 25 years of service with the school system in Sharon, Pa. As a longtime member of the Christ Lutheran Church in Sharon, she volunteered with Meals on Wheels. She loved to cook and garden, and as an avid quilter, belonged to the Stafford Piecemakers Quilt Guild.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, July 5, at Mullins & Thompson Funeral Service, Stafford. A private burial will take place in Stafford Memorial Park at a later date.
