Keith Wayne Burrell Sr., 53, of Haymarket went to meet his Lord on Tuesday, July 10, 2012, at his residence. He was peacefully surrounded by the loving arms of his family after a long battle with cancer.

He was born on July 31, 1958, in Fredericksburg to Frank Gordon Burrell and Mary Loving Burrell. Keith grew up and lived most of his life in Dahlgren.

Keith was a loving son, father, brother and grandfather. He had a great sense of humor and he really enjoyed his music. He worked at Cue Recording Studios as a recording engineer/mastering engineer for 13 years.

He is survived by his mother, Mary L. Burrell of Dahlgren; a son, Keith W. Burrell Jr. and his wife, Shawn, of Dahlgren; a daughter, April Lyn Papenfuss and her husband, Jerry, of King George; a sister, Karen B. Buff-kin and her husband, George of Fredericksburg; and five grandchildren, Chadd and Meagan Burrell, Angel, Jolie and Sam Coates.

Keith was preceded in death by his wife of 25 years, Sally Williams Burrell; his father, Frank Gordon Burrell; and his brother, Bruce Gordon Burrell.

The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, July 15, at Nash & Slaw Funeral Home, King George.

The service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, July 16, at Oakland Baptist Church, King George with the Rev. Guy Mattox Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Fredericksburg.
