Ruby "Lee" Chew was born Nov. 9, 1946, in Caroline County to the late Reed Wright Sr. and Annie T. Wright. She departed this life on Tuesday, July 24, 2012, at Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg.

She leaves to cherish her memory one son, Kimbell L. Chew of Fredericksburg; three daughters, Berdenia A. Chew and Wanda D. Chew, both of Fredericksburg, and Tiffany L. Chew-Coleman (Carlos) of Spotsylvania County; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; four sisters, Bertha M. Wright of Woodford, Margaret M. Stevens of Ruther Glen, Frances V. Wright of Fredericksburg and Delores Brown of Richmond; one brother, Reed Wright Jr. of Fredericksburg; two brothers-in-law, Bobby Stevens and Melvin Brown; one sister-in-law, Jeanie Wright; and a host of devoted nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A viewing will be held from noon to 8 p.m. Saturday, July 28, at C.W. Edwards Funeral Home, Bowling Green, and one hour before the service at the church on Sunday. A home-going celebration will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 29, at Beulah Baptist Church, 5216 Arcadia Road, Woodford, Va. 22580. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
