Jane Elizabeth Maze, 51, of Richmond died Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2012.

Jane was a beloved wife, loyal friend and a loving sister, aunt and daughter. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Jane was born in Charlottesville, grew up in Spotsylvania County and graduated from Spotsylvania High School. She received a music degree from Longwood College before studying nursing at MCV and Germanna Community College. In May 2002 Jane married Kevin Maze. The couple lived in Richmond.

Survivors include her husband, Kevin Maze; her mother, Lura Elder, her brothers, John Elder, Steve Elder and Joe Elder; her sister, Susan Hayes; her sisters-in-law and friends, Melissa Seiler and Lisa Maze; and brother-in-law John Maze. Jane was a loving aunt to 15 nieces and nephews, Kimberly, Jennifer, Alex, David, Blair, Carley, Sarah, John, Mary, Joey, Jack, Jake, Hanna, Erin and Lura.

The family will receive friends at Bennett Funeral Home in Glen Allen from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m Friday, Aug. 17.

A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 18, at Bennett Funeral Home, with burial in Mount Vernon Memorial Park.
