Bill Mahe, 53, of Fredericksburg departed this life on Saturday, Sept. 1, 2012, at his residence of natural causes.
Born to Frances Carol (Harvey) Mahe and the late William Paul Harvey in Salida, Colo., Bill also lived in Albuquerque, N.M., Austin, Texas, and Fairfax, Woodbridge and Fredericksburg.
He was outgoing and loved to talk to people. His great artistic and creative ability were displayed in making custom jewelry, knives, pens, and pool cues.
For many years he worked as a contractor in the training division of the FBI Academy at Quantico.
A devotee of mixed martial arts, Bill was very generous in passing on his knowledge and skills to others. His greatest legacy is in the many strengths he bequeathed to his four children.
Survivors include his beloved wife, Catherine Mary Mahe; children Paul, Cathy, Ginny and Wyatt; parents Eddie and Frances Mahe; sisters Sharon, Theresa, Kathy and Debbie; grandmother Guernadine Mahe; aunts Arlene Harvey, Veronica Ogden and Bretha Mahe; uncle Fred Mahe; and 12 cousins.
Bill was predeceased by his natural father, William Paul Harvey.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 7, at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg, Va. 22047.
