Eugene Hilton "Buck" Brooks Jr., 71, of Fredericksburg died Monday, Sept. 3, 2012, at his home.

Mr. Brooks owned and operated E&L Construction. He was a former supervisor for Hilton Homes.

Survivors include his wife, Linda E. Brooks; sons Eugene M. Brooks and Dale W. Brooks and wife Linda; daughter Teresa L. Nicholson and husband David; one brother; two sisters; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild and one on the way; and his beloved pet, Ms. Rosey.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 8, at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg.
