Two armed robbers hit a 7-Eleven on U.S. 17 and get away with cash.
Date published: 9/6/2012
The Stafford County Sheriff's Office is looking for a pair of men in connection with a late-night armed robbery Monday at a 7-Eleven store in the county.
At about 11:45 p.m. a deputy went to the 7-Eleven on U.S. 17 at Commerce Parkway and found a visibly shaken clerk, said sheriff's spokesman Bill Kennedy.
Police said the two robbers had entered the store a short time earlier, pulled handguns and told the clerk to give them money. The clerk took out the cash drawer and put it on the counter, and the thieves grabbed an undisclosed amount of cash and fled on foot.
The Sheriff's Office used K-9 dogs to search the area, but to no avail.
Kennedy said they are looking for two black men. One is between 6 feet and 6 feet 4 inches tall and weighs between 180 and 200 pounds. He was wearing a black T-shirt, jeans and a blue T-shirt wrapped around his head.
The other man is 5 feet 8 inches to 6 feet tall, and was wearing a black T-shirt, jeans and sunglasses. He also was wearing what appeared to be football receiver gloves.
