James Anthony "Jimmy" Hughes, 52, of Spotsylvania County died Sunday, Sept. 9, 2012, at Mary Washington Hospital.
Jimmy had worked as a surveyor. He was a gifted musician and loved playing music with family and friends. Jimmy enjoyed fishing but wasn't very good at it.
Survivors include his wife, India Hughes; two children, James Derrick Hughes and Curyn Nicole Zellmer, both of the home; mother Dorothy G. Hughes of Fredericksburg; brother Michael L. Hughes of Sumerduck; sister Laura L. Dudley of Hartwood; six nieces; and one great-nephew. He was preceded in death by his father, James L. Hughes.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 12, at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg.
Services and burial will be private.
