Carrie Cook Washington, 90, of Spotsylvania County died Friday, Sept. 7, 2012, at Culpeper Regional Hospital.
Ms. Washington was a lifelong member of Zion Hill Baptist Church and a member of Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Mason Washington; a brother, Carl Cook; and a sister, Martha Cook Lawson.
She is survived by her son, Darryl Washington; her grandchildren, Devon Fox and Brandon Pinkard; sister-in-law Mary L. Cook; and a host of nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 13, at Johnson Funeral Home, Locust Grove. A service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 14, at Zion Hill Baptist Church, Spotsylvania, with the Rev. Dwight Hargrove officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
