The Rev. Rogers Hamilton Chenault, 90, of Stafford County passed away Sunday, Sept. 9, 2012, at Mary Washington Hospital.
The Rev. Chenault was a native of King and Queen County and a graduate of Wake Forest College and Southern Seminary. He pursued other graduate work at the University of Richmond, Columbia Bible College and Southeastern Seminary. He was the author of "The People's New Testament" and served in several churches during his ministry.
In his later years he owned and operated Allen and Brown Barber Shop in Fredericksburg. He was a member of Grace Memorial Church in Fredericksburg.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Ada F. Chenault; and his daughters, Gwendolyn Chenault of Locust Grove and Geraldine Chenault of Radford.
A memorial service will be held at noon Wednesday, Sept. 12, at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg Chapel. Interment will be private in Greenwood Memorial Gardens in Richmond.
