Spin Andrews Sisters platters, GOP

Reading conservative input in The Free Lance-Star is like watching paint dry. It never changes. Mostly all you hear are complaints! Why don't you start accentuating the positives of the GOP?

Great sports teams win championships with great players and great coaches. Great coaches never motivated their players by saying "the other side cheats, they are not good people, their feet stink, and I don't think some of them believe in Jesus." No, they take their team, accentuate their positives, make them believe in themselves, and go from there.

My suggestion to the GOP: Start concentrating on the good things the GOP has done over the last 10 to 15 years. Write down all the things the GOP has done to improve lives, provide jobs, and fix the deficit, the military, foreign policy. Shout it to the rafters! Do the same for Romney and Ryan, and specifically lay out their plans that excite you.

Be proud that your party has nominated the best of the GOP. Let people know how Romney is a proven winner, a personable guy, a businessman, an ex-governor of Massachusetts, and head of the Olympic Committee. Accentuate the work he did with RomneyCare, his business acumen at Bain Capital, and his philanthropic work with his church--positive things!

We all understand your problems with this administration. We don't understand the positives of your own party and what excites you. Listen to the old Andrews Sisters song from the '40s and "accentuate the positive."
