Robert Earl Clemmons, 73, of Murrells Inlet, S.C., formerly of Prince William County, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2012.
He proudly served as a major for the U.S. Marines and had retired as a physics teacher at Gar-Field High School.
He is survived by his daughters, Sherri Thompson (Michael), Rene Bickel (Dave) and Tiffany King (Wes); grandchildren Kasey, Destiny, Tyler, Austin and Harry; brother J.D. Clemmons (Nancy); niece Julianne Wright; and nephews Jay, Jeff and Matt Clemmons.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, followed by a service at 4 p.m. at J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, Chester Chapel. A committal service will be held at Quantico National Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Kasey N. Crute Special Needs Trust. Deposits may be made at any Wells Fargo branch.
