Four people--two brothers, a sister and the sister's boyfriend--were arrested Wednesday night following a ruckus at a Fredericksburg apartment complex.

City police spokeswoman Natatia Bledsoe said police went to 200 Goldenleaf Court in the Crestview Apartments about 9:40 p.m. in response to reports of a loud altercation in the parking lot. The three males were fighting when officers arrived at the complex on Fall Hill Avenue.

One of the brothers, 23-year-old Kevin Poole, had been stabbed in the chest and hand with a small knife. He was checked at the scene by medical personnel, but he declined to go to the hospital, Bledsoe said.

Poole and his brother, Michael Johnson, 25, of Spotsylvania, were both charged with assault and disorderly conduct. Both were released on summonses.

Rakim Pettus, 21, was charged with felonious assault and disorderly conduct and was placed in the Rappahannock Regional Jail under no bond. Pettus lives at the apartment complex with the sister of the two brothers.

The sister, Sentoria Poole, 21, was charged with disorderly conduct and obstruction of justice. Police said she was disruptive during the investigation and ignored the officers' commands to stop shouting and return to her apartment. She was jailed under a $1,000 bond.

Bledsoe said police aren't sure what led to the altercation because officers received conflicting stories. The knife and other evidence were recovered at the scene.
