President Obama touts the fact that domestic oil and gas production has increased significantly on his watch, but that production is happening on private and state lands over which he and anti-fossil-fuel Democrats thankfully have no control, while federally controlled lands and offshore drilling sites are still off-limits.
Green energy scammers like Solyndra have wasted hundreds of millions in government loans and haven't produced anything but hot air, empty promises, and fantasies, while the Keystone pipeline that would create jobs and bring in oil from a non-hostile source on our own continent languishes.
The mainstream media won't address inflation because that might hurt Obama. Gas prices, which were under $2 a gallon when he took office, and inflated food prices will be a major economic factor that will help sink Obama if Republicans will just hammer the issues home with hard-hitting but truthful ads and speeches, and never let up.
Then there's Obama's war on coal. How can anyone who is involved in the mining, processing, transportation, sale, or use of coal support a president who is trying to destroy a major segment of this country's energy production, and the source of their livelihoods? Union members, especially coal miners, power plant, and railroad workers should remember that on Election Day.
People tend to vote their wallets, and I'm no exception. I just hope I can still afford to drive to the polls on Nov. 6 to help send Obama to the unemployment office.
