This is in response to Tiffany Morkovsky's Sept. 13 letter. The words of the Declaration of Independence state that we the people have a right to "Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness."
Of course, there are many people who abuse this right, but many, especially in our weakened economy, cannot afford health care.
Our nation should not deny anyone access to needed medical treatment because he or she cannot afford to pay.
Hopefully, the Morkovsky family will not find themselves in that position.
