Minnie Lee Brown of Milford entered into eternal rest Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2012, at Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center.
Minnie was born Oct. 18, 1927, to the late Ives Henry Fortune and the late Lucy Kate Deyo.
She leaves to cherish her fond memory two sons, Elliott Fred III (Clarice) and Alan; two daughters, Belva Brown and Cathy Harrell (Allan); two granddaughters; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Romaine Green (Howard) and Shirley Lumpkin; a godson; two very dear cousins; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A viewing will be held from noon to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 28, at C.W. Edwards Funeral Home, and at the church one hour before the service. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, at Jerusalem Baptist Church, 21180 Bagby Road, Sparta, Va. 22552, with the Rev. Irving Woofolk Jr. officiating and the Rev. Jared S. Beasley, pastor, delivering the eulogy. Interment will follow in the church cemetery,
