Woman hit by truck while crossing street in town of Culpeper

A 48-year-old woman was not seriously injured when she was struck by a pickup truck as she reportedly darted across Culpeper's North Main Street about 3:30 Tuesday afternoon.

According to town police spokesman Wally Bunker, the woman was taken to Culpeper Regional Hospital for treatment of "non-life-threatening injuries."

Bunker said the woman crossed Main Street in the middle of a block (in front of the County Administration Building) and into the path of a southbound 2007 Toyota Tundra pickup truck operated by a 68-year-old Culpeper man.

No charges were filed in the incident, Bunker said.
