Obama a 'multitasker' who has done much

Barack Obama has been consistent from Day 1. He rescued this country from economic disaster and accomplished finance reform to protect us and our economy from irresponsible Wall Street, corporate, and banking practices.

He worked to restore our economy and American jobs. He has remained determined to strengthen our educational system at all levels, reduce our dependence on fossil fuels and foreign oil, and develop alternative and renewable energy sources.

While continuing to protect our environment, he has also worked to protect the rights of women and minorities as they pursue their American dream.

President Obama has demonstrated that diplomacy is the first and best way to try to solve international problems but that intelligent and appropriate use of force can be effective. He has also ended one war and is winding down the other, while always showing the utmost respect and concern for all who serve in our military.

He succeeded in achieving an affordable health care law that will help more Americans to be insured and will finally begin to both address the skyrocketing cost of health care and improve delivery of health care services. He has been the ultimate multitasker.

Barack Obama has turned this country around by appealing to us to come together in common purpose. He has done so even in the face of those determined to make him a one-term president by obstructing everything he proposed.

Now those people are trying to scare and divide us. But all we have to do is believe in ourselves and in each other. Let's pull together and vote again for hope and change.

Most important, let's send a strong message to our president and to Congress that we want our government to work for the many, not just for a privileged few.
