Michael Wayne Carter, 51, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2012, at his home in Locust Grove.

He is survived by wife Gloria Carter; son Jeremiah James; daughter Michelle Carter; two grandchildren, Kyleigh and Kenzie Eckler; mother Jacqueline Carter; brother Kelton Carter (Marjorie); nephews Cory Carter (Linn) and Bradley Carter (Jennifer); two great nephews, Kelton and Liam; and one great-niece, Katlyn.

Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 18, at Mullins & Thompson Funeral Service, 168 Shelton Shop Road, Stafford County. A service will be held at the Stafford Chapel at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 19. Burial will follow in Rock Hill Cemetery.
