I just finished reading "Fair went well, despite problems" [Oct. 14] and the article has left me disappointed and curious.
The article dove into facts and figures concerning attendance and profits of the Virginia State Fair. The reporter failed to mention the death of Trooper Andrew Fox.
For example, the article did not portray the views and feelings of the Virginia Farm Bureau and Universal Fairs regarding Trooper Fox. I am quite certain that state fair officials would have issued an appropriate and respectful statement regarding his death.
Though the reporter wrote an excellent article, it failed to capture the fair in its entirety. Though the State Fair was an overall success, it is still important to capture all aspects of it.
