Without insurance we would not have received the care we needed. We would be dead or like our neighbors, who lost everything, including their home, and are still paying medical bills because of a pre-existing condition preventing them from getting insurance.

I am concerned about Americans who cannot afford insurance or cannot get it because of pre-existing conditions. Mitt Romney says he will get rid of Obamacare. I want everyone to have affordable health care. I don't want anyone to die because he doesn't have insurance.

Romney says he will downsize the government. Virginia's economy relies on government employees and contractors. Romney will eliminate thousands of government-related jobs and increase Virginia's unemployment drastically. Government funding can be curtailed by getting rid of waste instead of firing government employees.

Abortion should not be an issue. Romney's plan to abolish Planned Parenthood bothers me. My children are 14 months apart. Without Planned Parenthood I probably would have had a child every other year, been unable to work to help support my family, and been on welfare. Women's ability to obtain birth control should not be limited or based on other people's religion.

We paid 20 percent in taxes on our retirement income. Romney paid 14 percent on his $20 million-plus income and he thinks that's fair. Romney says he won't raise taxes on the rich, but his plan will definitely raise taxes on most middle-income people.

Obama's plans are working. Unemployment is down, manufacturing is up, the stock market is doing great, and so on. I want to give him the time to finish the job and elect congressmen who will help him succeed.
