Everette "Lump" Byrd Jr., 48, of Colonial Beach passed away Saturday, Oct. 27, 2012, in Oak Grove.

He was employed by P.D.&E. Complete Maintenance.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Byrd of Colonial Beach; parents Everette "Ed" and Rose Byrd of Colonial Beach; stepson Kevin Jackson of Fredericksburg; stepdaughter Cheryl Jackson of Damascus, Md.; and two sisters, Barbara Smith (Raymond) and LaWanda Smith (Sylvester), all of Colonial Beach.

A funeral will be held at noon Friday, Nov. 2, at Little Zion Baptist Church in Oak Grove, with the Rev. Earl Howerton officiating. A viewing will be held from noon to 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 1, at Cedell Brooks Funeral Home in Port Royal and at the church one hour prior to the service.
