The marriage of Miss Dori Winston Heflin and Mr. Robert Stephen DeTogni took place on Saturday, Nov. 3, 2012, at Our Lady of the Angels Chapel in Richmond. Deacon Robert Griffin officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Phillip M. Heflin of Fredericksburg and the late Mr. Phillip M. Heflin. The groom is the son of Mrs. Dorothy A. DeTogni of Deerfield Beach, Fla., and Mr. Gino R. DeTogni of Flanders, N.J.
The bride was escorted by her brother, Mr. Phillip M. Heflin Jr. of Baltimore, and was given in marriage by her family.
Mrs. Lisa H. Boyd was her sister's matron of honor and Mrs. Wendy W. Kirkpatrick was her bridesmaid, both of Richmond.
Mr. Vernon L. Willet Jr. of Seward, Alaska, served as best man. The ushers were the bride's nephews, Mr. C. Rodes Boyd III, Mr. William P. Boyd and Mr. Jackson P. Boyd, all of Richmond.
The Scripture readers were Mrs. Beverly L. Beer, Mr. C. Rodes Boyd Jr., both of Richmond, and Mr. Lawrence M. DeTogni, brother of the groom, of Budd Lake, N.J.
The rehearsal dinner was hosted by the groom's parents. The wedding reception dinner was hosted by the bride's mother. Both events were held at the Jefferson Lakeside Country Club in Richmond.
The bride is a graduate of Longwood University where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in business administration. She is employed by Owen Suter's Fine Furniture in Richmond.
The groom is a graduate of Virginia Tech where he received his Bachelor of Science degree and Master of Science degree in mechanical engineering. He is employed by Capital One Financial Corp. in Richmond.
The couple will reside in Richmond.
