Pauline P. Curtis, 78, of Richmond died Sunday, Nov. 11, 2012, at Chippenham Medical Center.

Mrs. Curtis was a native of Fauquier County and the daughter of the late Fleming and Mary Virginia Payne. She grew up on a dairy farm and was a graduate of Fauquier High School.

A former resident of Fredericksburg, Mrs. Curtis was a member of Ferry Farm Baptist Church. After moving to the Richmond area she became a member of Central Baptist Church in Chesterfield. She enjoyed gardening and traveling.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray M. Curtis; son Mark M. Curtis; and daughter-in-law Michele K. Bacon.

Survivors include three children, Gary V. Curtis, Audrey R. Seay and Cynthia L. Cordell; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 15, at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg.

A service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 16, at Mount Holly Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery
