Annie Mae Ledbetter, 86, of Goldvein passed away Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2012, at home surrounded by her family.
She was born in Fort Worth, Texas, a daughter of Lillie B. Henderson Pope and Henry C. Pope. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon M. Ledbetter; a son, Bobby C. Jackson; and six siblings
Annie enjoyed needlepoint, quilting and tending her flower garden. She was a member of Grove Baptist Church in Goldvein.
Annie is survived by her daughter, Shirley Yonts, and her husband, S.L. Yonts of Goldvein; brother James Pope of Fort Worth; sisters Janie Upchurch and husband Will of Alvarado, Texas, and Virginia Dobbins of Denton, Texas; four grandchildren, Shelley Yonts of Spotsylvania, Shawna and husband Darren Griffin of Spotsylvania County, Steven Yonts of Goldvein and Clay Jackson of Cleburne, Texas; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
The family will receive family friends at Grove Baptist Church from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, with a service at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Grove Baptist Church cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made in Annie's name to Heartland Hospice, 400 Holiday Court, Warrenton, Va. 20186.
