The presentation that was held at Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center on Nov. 8, "Menopause and You," was a nice and informative talk. I am happy to have heard some information on a woman's "change," and I guess I am not the only lady who complains about her health.

The speaker who gave the wonderful talk was Dr. Rachel McCarter, who practices ob-gyn at Southpointe OBGYN LLC. It was nice to introduce myself to her and ask some questions.

I wish there were more talks like this, especially for women, and it would be more convenient if the talks were held at closer hospitals, like Mary Washington, Potomac Sentara, and Stafford Hospitals, especially with the price of gas these days. I enjoyed the talk and felt comfortable with all the ladies in the room.

I am glad to be a part of the Stafford County community and go to several of events held in or around Stafford. I should get out more and enjoy the many helpful socials in and around our wonderful county.
