Mary Irene Harris

Mary Irene Harris, 85, of Stafford County went to be with the Lord on Sunday, Nov. 18, 2012, at Mary Washington Hospital with her family by her side.

Survivors include nine children, Phillip Jurgins of Fredericksburg, Judith Bryson of Michigan, Ronald Jurgins (and Marilyn) of Fredericksburg, Sandra Fitzhugh of West Virginia, Keith Harris of Virginia, Sharon Williamson of Fredericksburg, Debra Baker of Richmond, Paul Verner of Florida and Ashley Brooks, currently serving in Afghanistan; one sister, Pearlene Jackson; two brothers, Theodore Harrison and Harvey Harrison (and Mary); 17 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and 41 nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her late husband, Andrew Harris, Retired USMC; daughter Joan Anne Royster; and sons Thomas, Dennis and Anthony Jurgins; her parents, Henry and Maggie Harrison; brothers Robert and Cleveland Harrison; and sister Edith Lovitt.

A visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 23, at A.L. Bennett and Son Funeral Home, Fredericksburg, with family time from 7 to 8 p.m. A funeral will be held at noon Saturday, Nov. 24, at United Faith Christian Ministries, 150 Susa Drive, Stafford, with a viewing from 11 a.m. to noon. A repast will follow. Interment will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 26, in Quantico National Cemetery.
